Little #NYCC Story for ya. Toy Tokyo was selling some of the most popular con exclusives at the entire convention, so people would line up early as hell to come get what they wanted. On Saturday I finally get a chance to get there and line up.

I was there for  a Dragon Ball Z Planet Arlia Vegeta Funko Pop, a Pop! exclusive to Toy Tokyo whenever it hits the store. I was in line and about 6 people ahead of me. I was super bummed, but was also thought “I’ll be damned if I stood in this line for over an hour for nothing.” That’s when I decided to pick up these two beauties.

These Freddy Krueger and Jason Vorhees figures are from Funko’s ReAction line and are sporting an 8-bit paint job. If you’re familiar with the NES versions of  Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street, you’ll recognize these colors in an instant!

Still bummed I couldn’t get the Vegeta, though if we’re being honest I was only really interested because it comes in those idiot colors he first premieres in. Maybe I’ll be able to grab one at the store some time.

Well, I’m usually quite vague about that. I think I just picked the title because it makes me sound important.

How can people not like Clara now? She’s so much cooler  now

A little Doctor Who tribute

Earls Court, London, 2014

So I am secretly a massive geek - I’ve loved Doctor Who since I was scared by ‘The Awakening’ (featuring a scary alien face in a wall!) in 1983 - one of my earliest memories as I was only 3! The show fired my imagination from an early age. So I made this the other day in a little nod to tomorrow’s episode, Flatline…. (You’ll have to watch to see why - I couldn’t resist!)

The police box featured is one of the few still around on the streets, you can see it right outside of Earls Court tube station.
